A trip AdFreak won't be making

Jeffdachis_1Among the events we won't be attending tonight is this one: “Back to the Alley: A Refresh on the Dot-Com Darlings of New York's Silicon Alley.” It’s a panel discussion moderated by Silicon Alley Reporter founder Jason McCabe Calacanis and featuring MTVi's Nicholas Butterworth, Bolt.com's Dan Pelson, DoubleClick’s Kevin Ryan and, of course, Razorfish co-founder Jeff Dachis (at left, in case you forgot who he was, but we kinda guess you didn't), without whom any discussion of the late '90s New York Internet scene would really be incomplete.

That is, of course, if we really wanted to discuss it, but AdFreak for one, does not. We’d rather just remember all the great parties. Still, if you must go, the event is free at the Michael Schimmel Theater at Pace University in lower Manhattan, at 3 Spruce Street at 6:30 p.m. Have fun, and remember, if you start to shed a tears for kozmo.com or any other dot-com that promised to make you a millionaire, it's time to leave.
