Uh oh

RecipeIf you’re looking for signs that blogging, as we’ve known it, is over, here’s some evidence: Interpublic’s MWW Group has set up a blogging subsidiary. Called Blog 360 (hey, hasn’t Ogilvy cornered the market on the number 360?), it promises to help corporations create blogs that will provide, “a unique and highly effective platform to connect with key constituents and audiences who are more difficult to reach via traditional marketing and public relations.”

They’ve even hired a blogging svengali—Stephen Morgan Friedman—who runs the blog overheardinnewyork.com. He says in the release: “Through blogs, MWW’s clients will have the ability to truly speak the language of their customers.”

We’ve no idea where this is headed, but we’ll be watching. Closely.
