Four score and 20 french fries ago? As part of AdFreak’s monthlong celebration of President’s Day, we’d like to introduce all of you to … the Lincoln Fry, or as its blog says, “Meet the french fry that looks like President Abraham Lincoln.” (See the resemblance? It’s uncanny!) Or maybe this is all a hoax (after all, we did fall for that story about the baby named Yahoo). Or better yet, maybe it’s the beginning of a viral campaign for McDonald’s. Suit pozers? Jimbo, I think you are a suit and a poser at that. If this is a viral campaign, by McD's or anyone else, it's smart. 2004 was the year of the blog - they (whoever they are) just beat the others to the punch in finding out a way to leverage the world of blogs.

blogs are all about cred, and that's why they are successful. to atempt to manipulate one with such an obviously fake one ("what's this blog thingy i'm writing on this computer thingy?", never mentioning the fake city/people where all this 'stir' is happening, adding obviously fake comments which would embarass Up With People) is not the way to do it, if it can be done at all. the net will crucify this...

Guys, since you are advertising journalists, could you not do that innocent uninformed bloggy-crap and just come straight out with the fact that it's a so called viral for McD and an ad they will air at the superbowl? We read this place for news, not guesses - we can get the latter at any livejournal.
