Us against them: The ad showdown

Here’s something that might be worth checking out: On Friday night at 8 p.m. Eastern, CBS presents The Greatest Commercials: Super Bowl vs. the World. According to the CBS Web site, “We pitted your favorite Super Bowl commercials against some of the best television ads the world has to offer in an advertising showdown.” People got to vote online, and the show will count down the winners, VH1 style. Unfortunately, one of the co-hosts is Pat O’Brien, who for some reason just irritates us beyond measure. (MTV’s Vanessa Minnillo will join him and hopefully tone him down a little.) Anyhow, it beats reruns of The Bernie Mac Show on Fox.
