Why 2004 was a little bit like ‘1984’

Spoofs_2Just now brought to our attention: this cool parody of Apple’s “1984” commercial, done by a New York comedy group called The Royal We. The chubby guy in the track suit is great. So is the on-screen text: “In 2004, Apple Computer sold 8.2 million iPods. Remember 1984, when we said we wouldn’t be like ‘1984’?” “Whatever,” says the voiceover. Truly inspired. You can watch the original commercial here.
