Will the airwaves ever be Hilton-free?
Here’s some good news: Paris Hilton plans to retire in two years. From what, we’re not certain, but she wants to settle down and raise a family with her husband, the other Paris. As much as I’d hate to see them breed, it’d be worth it to get her off TV. The bad news is that, come June 21, we will have to deal with her mother. Yes, CNN reports that in her new NBC reality series, I Want to Be a Hilton, Kathy Hilton “coaches 14 contestants in taste and etiquette.” We might be going out on a limb here, but those are the last two subjects on which a Hilton should coach anyone. Exhibit A: the sex tape. Speaking of which, Kathy says the tape was “very painful ... but it taught me that I really can’t trust everybody.” She also admitted to being embarrassed and humiliated when the tape became public. One can only imagine how Paris felt. From the looks of things, one selfish, vapid Hilton is being exchanged for another. And this one should know better.
