Microsoft’s weird new Xbox 360 site
It appears Microsoft is up to its viral tricks again. Over the weekend, the company put up a mysterious new Web site, OrigenXbox360.com, which nerdy gamers in darkened rooms worldwide are now scrambling to decipher, often with hilarious results. The site shows a tree and a bunny, along with a faint but readable numerical countdown that will reach zero at noon EST on Sept. 27. What kind of cataclysmic event is Microsoft planning for that day? Who knows. But judging by the 683 (and counting) frantic, speculative comments about the site already up on Xbox360news.com, more than a few people can’t wait to find out. The Xbox 360 console is due out in stores this holiday season.
