Fantasia's book not a High Point, says couple

Fantasia_bookA couple in High Point, North Carolina has found a cause: irked that American Idol winner Fantasia Barrino talks disparagingly about the local schools in her new book, Life Is Not a Fairy Tale, they have started a site, fantasiaslies.com, and asked city officials to take down signs which promote High Point as the “hometown of Fantasia Barrino.” (Barrino reveals in the book that she never learned how to read while attending the schools there.) According to this story, city officials have basically brushed off the anti-Barrino duo with the politician’s version of the phrase “Get a life”—the mayor notes, “There’s a lot more serious things happening right now than Fantasia’s signs.”

I think that just because she said that doesn't mean they should take down the poster! I know for a fact that schools are like that, my mom used to work in the school district and if the student caused trouble or was too old even if they didn't pass the grade they would send them to high school even if they weren't ready for high school. Fantasia is a great singer and is great at what she doesn't and hasn't let anyone stop her. I applaud her for that!!

I think her reading has nothing to do with her success and I hate when people try to find something negative toward a person. Im happy for Fantasia.
