Staples’ ‘Easy’ button is a tough sell

Easy3_1So, speaking of worthless objects, the other day I actually bought one of those Easy buttons that they’re selling at Staples. You push it, and it says, in a Grossinator-type voice, “That was easy!” My abbreviated review: It’s remarkably loud and annoying, particularly for an office setting. It might be best not to take it into that ensuing meeting with HR.

I prefer to set the tone for a meeting with the classic boxing nun.

Wonder how many people purchased the Easybutton thinking it would really work and fix their problem or that it would somehow contact Staples. And how many buttons got returned because they didn't work to solve the problem. Sounds stupid but I wonder if it has actually happen.

We bought an "EASY BUTTON" just for kicks, but what we really need is an "OH CRAP" button. That would be used much more often!

A must for project managers who often feel like we are herding cats or pulling teeth. The easy button is a little "pie in the sky", but that is what makes it funny.

Its their little marketing ploy, but look at it this way. Hey its not a total waste some of the proceeds go to a children's charity. I personally like my easy button it looks cool on the desk. I wouldnt dare press it to often though, my coworkers get irrated easily.
