This is one of the most stupidest blogs I have run across. Its just a freaking commercial. There was not one commercial that had any racial statements or gestures towards any race. Anyone offended by these commercial is because of his or her stupidity and we cannot help that. What about all the music, or movies why is no one getting offended by that? Yet most of you still listen or watch these movies and have nothing to do but be offended by commercials. So I guess since all cavemen or cavewomen involved into humans we should all be offended. Again anyone offended is an idiot!

It is a commercial! The guy who campared it to the Holocaust, Apartheid, slavery, and lynchings was a complete idiot! Geico's commercial really doesn't have much to do with car insurance, but it is in no way offensive. Just a stupid commercial

The caveman commercials are the best ones on TV. Please don't read so much into them. You need a sense of humor to understand them and I agree with a previous writer: THEY NEED A CAVEMAN SITCOM!!!!! Keep those commercials coming, Geico!!!

The Holocaust, Apartheid, slavery, and lynchings were not caused by the majority being insensitive to the pain they were causing others. But by openly acknowledging it and not caring. Hitler wasn't sitting around thinking "Oh the Jewish community won't mind if I slaughter them all, it won't bother them that much."
These ads aren't about being insensitive about racial slights. The commercial isn't making fun of the cavemen for being PC, they are making fun of our supposedly modern and well thinking society for extending equality and PC thinking towards every other group in society--all the other characters would have been more PC dealing with the KKK than they were with the cavemen and that's the point. It points out that our society isn't as elastic as we'd like it to be. The commercial isn't racist. It shows the stupidity of those who are. Let's say the ad was "so easy a black can use it." Can you imagine a white therapist saying in response to "Well what if it said, so easy a white can use?" with "well that wouldn't make sense to me because white people are smarter than you blacks." No. Or a news caster who defends the position of the ad. No. The whole point is not to make fun of someone wanting respect and dignity (now termed as being PC), its about laughing at the narrow-minded a**holes of the world who can't stand extending it.

Jessica, I'm the guy who submitted the post about the Holocaust, Apartheid, etc. One of the reasons Hitler succeeded for a time was that he was able to convince his nation that his victims were not truly human and so were not deserving of human empathy. I think the commercials tend to support that sort of thinking by making fun of people's struggles for respect and dignity. While it's true that at some levels the ads make fun of narrow-minded jerks who don't even realize when they're being insensitive, that aspect of the ads is just too subtle for most people. Judging by the posts on this and other websites, most people just don't get that aspect of the ads. But they clearly get the anti-PC aspect of the ads - the part where it's OK to laugh at the objections of those who are generally accepted as being dumber than us.

I am wondering when some other insurance company ad writer is going to take advantage of the image and get the caveman out of the victim role. Put him in the driver's seat, so to speak. They could have a caveman in a dialog with his wife like, "hey, honey these ratracers are something else, aren't they? Here we are laying back in the cave, enjoying the coolness, peace & quiet, and do you see the slick, overstrung insurance guy on the screen? He's seems to be implying that we might lack the sense that all normal freeway zoners have. I tell you, honey, what passes for knowledge these days boggles even the primative mind."
There can't be a patent on 'cavemen' could there?

I THINK THE CAVEMEN ARE FUNNY.
I LIKE THE WAY THE ACTORS PORTRAY THEM.
YOU CAN SEE THE PERSONALITY OF THE ACTORS IN THEM.
ITS ONLY ACTING LIKE ALL THE OTHER MOVIES AND TV SHOWS.
WHY MAKE SUCH A BIG DEAL ABOUT THEM.
I JUST HOPE THE SHOW WORKOUT WELL.

What the hell are all of you whining about?
These ads have nothing to do with race, sex, color, creed, or anything. I can't even fathom how anyone can even connect these ads with any of the above. If you really can within your own little mind, I would suggest go and drink some drain-o and end it all caus there are way more offensive things out there than geico caveman.Just because the caveman in the commercials can speak fluent english or any intelligible for language for that matter doesn't mean that the "BIG BAD CAVEMAN" is being compared to or mocking any specific group,sex,or religion.
For all of you that do, "GET A LIFE" and try to figure out more Important things like the cure for aids, cancer or the reason that BILLIONS of dollars are being spent to revamp the school system and nothing is happening. AMERRIKA is falling apart people so I say FUCK GEICO and get a life.
And by the way, I'm white.
