Cow attacked by NYC ad agency!

Gate_1PETA president Ingrid Newkirk won’t be going to work at New York agency The Gate (formerly Citigate Albert Frank) for a day anytime soon, not after it placed this ad in Monday’s New York Times. Click to see a larger version. BANG.

Am I the only one who, upon seeing this ad, immmediately thought of the classic National Lampoon "If You Don't Buy This Magazine, We'll Shoot This Dog" cover?

You are not alone - and in the same vein, why does the NL ad/spoof of someone trying to shoot a joint into their arm (Why do you think they call it DOPE?) come to mind when I read the content of the ad?

I give 'em 6 months before [a] the have a new name, [b] they have a new senior management staff and [c] they have a typical agency billing plan.

To paraphrase music from Kill Bill Vol. 1 - bang, bang, you're dead.

Maybe they should should shoot the sacred cow called "starting many sentences with conjunctions is exciting." Dead. And with a gun. Or worse.
