Coca-Cola hopes Blak is beautiful
Straight out of Atlanta comes Coca-Cola Blak, an “invigorating” and “stimulating” new mixed drink of cola and coffee. Yeah, I don’t think all the caffeine, calories and sugar in a can of Coke are enough. What a carbonated soda needs is a nice, iron-depleting, sugar-filled shot of pure adrenaline: black coffee. Perhaps this will eclipse the Red Bull or Rock Star energy beverages in the crack-as-a-drink category. "Coca-Cola Blak is not just a flavor extension,” said Marc Mathieu, vice president, Global Core Brands, The Coca-Cola Company in a release on Blak. “It is a blend of unique Coke refreshment with the true essence of coffee and has a rich smooth texture and has a coffee-like froth when poured. We believe we have created a new category of soft drink—an adult product in a carbonated beverage—and a whole new drinking experience.” The up side is that Coca-Cola Blak will launch first in France. With enough of this concoction, the French may get enough buzz on to, say, work!

I've already sampled Coke Blak and can pronounce it to be yummy. Hope it doesn't go the way of Vanilla Coke, though.

Why do they want us to pronounce it "Blake"? Is it Baretta's fav drink?

So what agency is working on this?

Blak is far to good to go the way of Vanilla. This one will be around for a great while.

How about a Sunny Delite Coke next? With a dash of BLAK and a smidge of Cap't Crunch, you'd have a white-trash breakfast in a can.

I really like the racist ending of this garbage comment. CC Blak will be around for a while, a nice replacement for the monstrosity that was Vanilla Coke, still puking my first sample of 4 months ago.
