Bummer that you guys were down and your images might be forever lost.... We won't pile on, but i thought i would share this one little thought with you. Why businesses and media publishing companies should seriously consider a blog platform more robust that a $15.00 a month solution.
Blogging is now a major media outlet and increasingly valuable with the syndication aspects that accompany blogs (rss/xml). Businesses need to wake up to this fact and seriously commit to a blogging strategy and platform. VNU needs to look closer at this potential weak point. Potential bad branding implications...
But i will say we enjoy the content when it is up.
Look at the flickr photo link. http://www.flickr.com/photos/53212943@N00/74065242/

Yeahhh... my blog is on TypePad... And, I am very pissed that it was down for two days... And the visual content is still missing. Don't these wankers realize that serious bloggers... Not those showing their latest baby pictures, or the latest choco fudge recipes... Need to be up 24/7.
Wankers!!!

I've been pretty frustrated with my service lately... This was a BIG service issue, but there have been a ton of "mini" outages over the last several months.

You're probably already aware, but some of your permalinks still are screwed up from the outage (par for the course, from what I've seen on other TypePad blogs). For instance, I tried to link to the Lexus Christmas sales post:

No go.
I'll repeat what I told others on TypePad: If I'm paying for the service, I expect minimal outages, and certainly nothing on this scale. Otherwise, I might as well go with a free service like Blogger/BlogSpot.

Thanks, we have noticed that. I think we're going to have to go into each post and resave it. That will be fun.
