But can Richard Hatch survive in the Big House?
When you win a million smackers on national TV by outwitting, outplaying and outlasting your rivals, you should know better than to play dumb with the IRS. Original Survivor Richard Hatch yesterday was convicted on tax evasion charges, after his lawyer told jurors that Hatch is “the world’s worst bookkeeper.” CBS’ Early Show segment can be viewed online here, complete with glib, punny lines like, “No immunity idol could save Richard Hatch from a legal jury.” Hatch now faces a $600,000 fine and a starring role in Survivor’s Hoosegow edition. But instead of 30 days, he may have to last up to 13 years.

I think Richard Hatch getting up to 13 years in prison is ridiculous. I've seen murderers and rapists get less than that.
