Catholic priest gives blessing to Hooters
Maybe religion and the town of Waco, Texas, don’t have an uneasy relationship after all. This morning, the greater Waco area’s top Catholic priest is blessing the new Hooters restaurant in town. “Blessings are part of the Catholic tradition,” Monsignor Isidore Rozycki explains to the Waco Herald-Tribune. “You bless the building so it will be a safe haven, so that the families that enter will be blessed, so the employees will be blessed as they support their families.” Depending on the photographer’s needs, waitresses may be encouraged to turn the other cheek.
