What is the song from the visa check card commercial? It takes place in a food court, and at the end a guy pays with cash, not a visa.

That song is 100 years by Five For Fighting

Christopher Faizi. From the Visa Ad w/ post-its returning to the forest. Contacted the guy today & he says the song is still a fragment.
HE NEEDS TO FINISH IT. HE HAS A HIT.

For the visa check card commercial when they are in a food court, the song is not 100 years by Five For Fighting, I know that, and one more thing the commercial is a recent one. So if anyone knows the song, would you please tell me? Thanks

Its a newer version of the tune used in alot of old Bugs Bunny cartoons. Raymond Scott did it. Name of it it is "Powerhouse". I have yet to find the version they used or who redid it.

yeah, I've been dying to know who does the original tune to the food court commercial. It's used in everything. It's also part of the theme from Save Ferris' "Superspy"

HERE'S THE ANSWER!!!
The song in the Visa Check Card (food court) commercial is "Powerhouse" by Raymond Scott. Yes. it has been it lots of old cartoons, but that answer didn't do it for me. After a little net searching, I discovered I recognized it from when it was used in the movie "Honey I Shrunk the Kids"... That's when I got really embarrassed.

It's almost positive it's Dennis Caizza & Swing Factory.

The song from the food court is "YYZ" by Rush.

Everytime that song starts I think it is "Celebrity Sanctum" by Dogs Die in Hot Cars

Christopher Faizi really needs to finish that song, I would buy his cd for that song alone!

The folksy song sounds a little like Beck. But it sounds more like Sun Volt, a very fine country-rock band from a few yrs ago.
Whenever I see that commercial I think of Sun Volt more than I do of Beck.

Brian, it's "Son Volt" and that song sounds nothing like them. It sounds like Beck. I was shocked it wasn't Beck.

Christopher Faizi - Please finish the Visa commercial song. We're waiting( me and a million others). Are you going to finish it? If you're out there please tell us what the hold up is??!!!! It's the sweetest song and it's only 30 seconds...

Does anyone know the VISA commercial with piano music? It's older, I think, about a couple of tourists who forget a camera on the table of a taverna/bistro and retrieve it the next day. I LOVE that music, but cannot find it.
Thanks.

Does anybody know who the girl is in the new Life Takes Visa commercial is? It's the one with a woman singing "Downtown" while she gets a makeover in NYC.
Posted by: Susan | Mar 29, 2007 3:21:09 PM
The "Downtown" song was originally recorded by Petula Clark in 1965. I am not sure who the woman is in the commercial.
I used to roller skate to the song!

the violin song for the life takes visa commercials is from "Bittersweet Symphony" by the Verve

the violin song is found on Mophonics.com under music... the song is called Better of You(Life Takes Mix) by Joey Ryan. The lyrics don't resemble the theme of Visa at all, the first line is "You're so selfish, you're so vain". I'd love to find the instrumental version someday!!

The woman singing the song is singer, dancer, and backing vocalist Niki Haris.

The Visa song with the food court with the lyrics "Take your time" almost buddy holly like, anyone know?
Posted by: Dave | Aug 8, 2007 10:36:58 PM
I believe I found the tune, it is by a Merseybeat English band named Vendors. The song is called "Take Your Time". It can be found on the CD "The Genesis of Slade" some of the Vendors members went on to form the famous band Slade. I cannot find a digital version of the song

the name of the song id called downtown for some of the people who dont know because my mom went to school with the sons of the woman who sung that song but i just cant remember the name.

Definitely the Vendors, definitely a riff in the song "Take Your Time." Unfortunately, that little riff is great -- the rest of the song, far less great.
It IS on iTunes. Enjoy.

The song is from the album "The Buddy Holly Collection" released in 1993.

Does anyone know the music for the most recent Life Takes Visa commercial? It is the same music that was used as the intro music to the movie Pee Wee's Big Adventure back in the 80's and I would like to know where this music came from.
Posted by: DJ | Oct 13, 2007 10:58:27 PM
It's 'Breakfast Machine' by Danny Elfman.
