R.I. billboard calls for impeachment of Bush

ImpeachbushThere’s a reason this billboard is up in Rhode Island specifically. According to Daily Kos: “The House Rules for the U.S. Congress allow impeachment proceedings to begin upon charges submitted by a state legislature. Since Rhode Island is one of a handful of states in the U.S. with a veto-proof Democratic majority and a super-majority of Rhode Islanders have a high disapproval rating of Bush-Cheney, U.S. Senate candidate Carl Sheeler is calling on the Rhode Island legislature to initiate impeachment proceedings against George W. Bush.” The ad is up on I-95 in Providence.

That is the most disgusting use of billboard space I have ever seen. Leave it to the Democrats to pull something like that. They have nothing better to do with their time nor do they have any solutions or suggestions. God Forbid they try to work together with Republicans!

"Wow, that got ugly fast."

You're telling me. Seems like only yesterday that someone called me a dickhead because I said I hated Ben Stiller.

Posted by: DK | Feb 21, 2006 8:56:31 PM

You hate Ben "Heavyweights"/"Envy"/"Duplex" Stiller? Man, you are a dickhead.

"You hate Ben "Heavyweights"/"Envy"/"Duplex" Stiller? Man, you are a dickhead."

Yeah, most people forgot about those movies, which must be why they're under the false impression that Stiller's a decent comedic actor.

Forget about Stiller, this thread is about a serious and important attempt at bringing down the corrupt, criminal, murderous dictator and his regime that has conned their way into the government of the most influentail country in the world.

With all due respect, Timm, I believe it is you who have your priorities out of whack. What is the fate of our democracy and the future of our country compared to the evil that is Ben Stiller?

I can't stand Bush. But do we really think an "IMPEACH" billboard will make a difference? What a waste of cash. Let's just wait it out people.

THis president needs to be investigated. HE has lied and lied to the american people. He feels he is above the law and someone needs to give him a reality check. He has not helped out those people in the gulf coast region, all he has given them is more red tape. WE are one of the richest nations in the world and we can't take care of our own people. He has created no child left behind and guess what he's taking all the money from education to defense because of the war in Iraq. If clinton can be impeached because of his act with an intern, I think it is time the same happens to this president. We all need to choose the right path not the easy path.

I would just like to correct myself about president Clinton, he wasn;t impeached, but they really (repblicans) wanted to impeach him. People need to start thinking about our constitution and what it means to them.

tired of corruption --

Regrettably, Clinton was impeached.

Fortunately, he was acquitted.

I can understand you being tired of liberals and that damn constitution they always seem to work into the conversation. That must really piss you off.

“I don’t give a goddamn,” Bush retorted. “I’m the President and the Commander-in-Chief. Do it my way.”

“Mr. President,” one aide in the meeting said. “There is a valid case that the provisions in this law undermine the Constitution.”

“Stop throwing the Constitution in my face,” Bush screamed back. “It’s just a goddamned piece of paper!”

this is an exerpt from a converstation that bush had with aides about the patriot act i'm a republican but f*** bush that is bull shit the constitution is the best thing the civilized world has going for it and i would fight and die for that before i would ever support bush.
impeach bush

This country is being ruined by Bush. Unfortunately I have to say this, but most Rebublicans are Dumb, they waiste time impeaching Clinton for fooling around with an intern, but when Bush screws up they are too blind to see anythings wrong! What's wrong with this country. I guess it must pay off to be stupid and ignorant since those are the only people that get ahead. But remember this you stupid rebublicans us smart democrats are the ones that keep this country together by cleaning up your mess!
