Huh? What's with the hunks?

Is it some kind of Desperate Housewives thing that all of the sudden everything in a bored domestic engineer’s life is about hunks? Maybe you’ve seen these two examples: Xtra-pine’s “cleaning hunk” who exposes his six-pack while polishing the floor, and “I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter”’s “Vote for Your Hunk” contest, which pits four men against each other in an online Dating Game-style competition, hosted by spokesperson Fabio, in which visitors—presumably female—can choose the best hunk. (In addition to hosting, Fabio does get to compete. Such a macho multi-tasker!) Having a man around the house for certain purposes is all well and fine, but somehow we think that for the most part, a woman would do a better job at, say, vacuuming.
