Yikes, I hate that king creature, he freaks me out, too scary. I loved the rabbit monster thing they did a couple years ago though online. (at least I think it was burger king)

there's only one thing less clever than an agency that thinks it's so clever, and that's...uhm...okay, so there isn't anything less clever.
yawn....

how can you be so cold to the king?
My Leige, I hope youre reading this, take your broken wings, and learn to fly again, learn to live so free.

Isn't that the boat Tommy Lee usually rents?

wow egoincheck, you seem to be on a personal crusade across the internet against this story. Time well spent I'm sure.

It may be silly for egoincheck to devote so much time railing against the Burger King/Brooke Burke saga. But the thing is, he's absolutely right. Why Adfreak continues to give this dopey campaign so much play -- even going so far as to insert the King into a story in which he had no relevance -- is puzzling to say the least.

I think its an awesome advertising ploy. It's cute because everyone knows its fake and its funny too. Poor Burger king I'm kinda glad I know what he looks like though because as a child I always wondered.

The fact that so many people hate it is proof of its success.

"The fact that so many people hate it is proof of its success?" Interesting bit of Orwellian logic. Whoever wrote that must work for the Bush White House. "Gee, Mr. President, your poll ratings are in the toilet -- thet's proof that the people love you."

I partially disagree. In the world of advertising it's all about exposure. As long as the exposure isn't something like "I found part of a human finger in my chili", then you're half way there.
IMO, the previous post would have been better written "The fact that so many people have an opinion and are talking about it..."
Politics is a whole different animal.

Politics and advertising are not as far removed as you may think, yojay.
I do, however, agree that the original poster would have been better served had he or she said "The fact that so many people are talking about this campaign -- for good or ill -- is proof of its success."
But even that line of reasoning only goes so far. Yes, part of advertising's job is to create awareness -- which, you could argue, the BK/Brooke Burke campaign does. But advertising is also supposed to stimulate desire -- and that's where I think this falls flat. What good is having people talk about you if all they are saying is how much you creep them out? The only person who believes that any publicity is good publicity is Donald Trump.
If anything, this campaign does a better job generting buzz for the agency behind it than for Burger King itself. And blogs like Adfreak -- and posters like me -- play right into their hands.

It's so obvious everyone who "hates" this so much are all just jealous that CPB is so brilliant.
Get over it. Make better work.
