Lawnmower outlasts owner in Viking spot
It’s risky to show someone dying while using your product. It’s also often funny. In this new spot for Viking lawnmowers, by Publicis Conseil in France, an old man dies while cutting the grass, and his friends and family have to pry the still-running machine from his cold, dead hands. Without much success. —Posted by Tim Nudd |

A good risky ad like this can generate months worth of word of mouth advertising even if so-called watchdog groups have it pulled

Cute idea but poorly executed.
Wow, that's a really lame pun. I apologize.

This is a great spot. I disagree that it's poorly executed. I also like it a lot more than the masturbatory Impossible Dream and Bravia spots.
