it should also be noted that using the word "bling" in an ad is a dead idea.

I have been seeing a commercial lately which is at least 3 years old. It features an Aussie actor(whose name escapes me), he was a regular as the love interest of Katherine Bell's character on the show JAG. He took his life a few years ago, and this commercial still airs. It's for a cleaning product, or mop of some sort. It's disturbing to see companies profit from the dead.

You mean JAG actor Trevor Goddard, who died in 2003 at age 37. I read it was by drug overdose. I don't know the spot you are referring to, but that should be taken off the air.
