TV commercial invites gay Americans to get married in Canada

Marriedincanada_1 An endearingly low-budget TV spot created by a Canadian GLBT tour operator is inviting gay Americans to tie the knot north of the border. The ad shows what appear to be two straight couples walking down the aisle, only to have the two men and the two women pair off at the end. Funky music and lots of snogging ensue. The ad is running online, and the advertiser, Outbyview.com, is negotiating time on U.S. TV channels devoted to the gay and lesbian community. The tagline: “Come and get married in Canada!”

A subtle call to action indeed.

yes, but what's the point of going to Canada to get married? it's not like your marriage will be recognized when you come back to the US.

Canada must be hurting for tourists... it's totally a marketing attempt for Canadian trips...
