Contextual advertising demons rise again

Ben_1 Eagle-eyed Flickr user digital chainsaw noticed this unfortunate ad/editorial juxtaposition online yesterday. “So while reading the article on ESPN.com today about Ben Roethlisberger’s motorcycle crash, I couldn’t help but chuckle at the big advertisement just to the right,” D.C. writes. “I’m not sure if they’re trying to sell motorcycles here or act as a warning against riding one, especially with the ‘Someday is today’ headline. Would that be as in ‘someday I might get into an accident on my motorcycle while not wearing my helmet’?”
