Fabio’s his usual corny self in Web series
If you’re not as handsome as Fabio (and who is?), here’s a fact in which you can take some solace: At least you—unlike Fabio—are not currently providing the voiceover for an animated ear of corn. It’s part of a webisode-based campaign for I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter in a spray bottle, involving murder inside a refrigerator. The entertaining action is too elaborate to summarize here, so you’ll have to check out the Web site for yourself. Suffice it to say that Spraychel, the character embodying the product, has been framed for murdering Buttricia, and visitors to the Web site are encouraged to help her lawyer, an ear of corn named Cobbio, figure out who really did it. If nothing else, Fabio’s willingness to play this self-mocking role supports the impression AdFreakers got several months ago when he dropped by our office as part of a media tour: The guy’s a good sport.
