Let’s be like Crispin and make a movie, too

Gmlogo Southern California agency G&M Plumbing has some fun at Crispin Porter & Bogusky’s expense (and our expense, too) by announcing, in a hastily assembled press release, that it also wants to make a movie, even though it has no script, no financing, no talent, no distributor and no interest from a studio. Says a spokesman: “We hope to shoot this fall. We don’t know what it will be, but that’s certainly not stopping us from making a formal announcement to the press.” It may be like Wedding Crashers. Or maybe not.

Is this the one where the guy shows up to "lay pipe"? Because I think I've seen that one.

The article on Crispin was a hoot. And that the press picked up this so-called story is funnier still. Crispin is a good agency, but not nearly as good as they think they are. Actually, as the "Movie" story proves, they're better at PR than advertising.

I'm writing a movie about this whole episode.

It's called "Qui Donne Une Merde?"

it's gonna be interesting to see if this movie actually happens.
next press release will read "Crispin begins work on curing cancer at boulder lab"

The movie better deliver or they'll look like they were trying way too hard to get some press.
