Visit Alaska for the oil-drenched animals

This may be the first TV commercial in history to promote travel to Alaska by showing moose, birds, bears and a rubber duckie covered in dripping black oil. “Explore Alaska. Before the big oil companies do,” says the copy. The ad is part of a 13-spot campaign by The Brooklyn Brothers for travel Web site Kayak.com. See all the ads here. They’ve all been posted to YouTube in hopes of generating viral goodness. Kayak is also inviting the site’s users to create their own ads. So far, the results are pretty wretched.
