Suicide-bombing ad too much like a movie?
In May, we wrote about EFX Films and 900 Frames’ elaborate, expensive shoot in Los Angeles for an anti-suicide-bombing commercial. The ad’s now been released. Check it out in Windows Media format at the campaign Web site, NoTerror.info. If you prefer Quicktime, head over to Adland, where Dabitch writes: “It’s quite a bit like an action movie, so much so I thought for a moment that I was watching the opening scene of Swordfish—a film so bad the only redeeming qualities were that 360° opening scene and Halle Berry topless.” The spot is heavily stylized, and features the Matrix-like “still array” effect. It still packs quite a punch, though. The goal of the campaign, funded by anonymous donors, is to counter “the deceptions terrorists employ in distorting the peaceful teachings of Islam.” The tagline is, “Terrorism has no religion.”

Hi Tim,
'Terrorism has no religion' maybe 'no religion has terrorism.' There again maybe those who have God are not religious at all they are christians!
Didnt Jesus hate the religious because they were not godly?
Food for thought and thanks for the article. I be back!
