Missing link found between advertising, witchcraft

Witch There are probably a lot of people out there (those who believe in subliminal advertising, for instance) who would love to discover whether there really is a link between witchcraft and advertising. Well, we just found it. It turns out that Stephen Hawley Martin, one of the founders of The Martin Agency, has a seven-times- great-grandmother who was hanged in Salem in 1692. Now he's published a book about her, A Witch in the Family. As for the link between advertising and witchcraft, if we read the release right, it doesn't only have to do with bloodlines. Martin says knowing there was a witch in their past fostered in independent spirit in his family. His parents even named a daughter Susannah North Martin, after "the family martyr."

Hmmm. Also making the link: Raymond Williams's Advertising, The Magic System. Bewitched. I can finally write that paper! Thanks, Steven Hawley Martin!
