When a Munchkin is not just a Munchkin
Leave it to Katie Couric to politicize donut eating. After admitting on her CBS blog that she likes Dunkin’ Donuts Munchkins (and French vanilla coffee), she felt compelled to add: “Micro-targeters would tell you [eating] Dunkin’ Donuts means I’m a Republican. If I was having a skinny double latte from Starbucks, I’d be a Democrat. What if you’re a bi-café java consumer?” Say what? In fact, it was a Democrat, Bill Clinton, who elevated donut passion to the highest office in the land (though he reportedly preferred Krispy Kreme), and it’s a conservative talk-show host, Laura Ingraham, who’s constantly touting Starbucks. Plus, Dunkin’ Donuts is headquartered in the most liberal state in the union (Massachusetts, unless the socialist-electing Vermont has supplanted it). Ah, but capitalism has once again bridged party lines: In response to Couric’s post, Dunkin’ Donuts sent CBS a ton of Munchkins. We have read of no liberal objections from the staff.

Yeah, DD makes you a Republican. Better tell that to half of New England as they go through their routine.
It's OK when she mangles the news or gets a little detail wrong like 'Iran' when she meant 'Iraq' or 'skirmish' when she meant 'diplomatic negotiations' but enough is enough!

Did she really say that? The stuff about donuts and coffee and political parties? Because it's too stupid for words. Seriously, who thinks like that?
