Is McDonald’s into subliminal advertising?
This video purports to show an episode of Iron Chef America on the Food Network—with a single frame advertising McDonald’s. Whatever the merits of this video, I’ll take this kind of subliminal advertising from McDonald’s over stuff like this. |

I sure it's nothing. Probably an errant frame that was lost in the edit timeline. McDonald's would never try something this sneaky.

yeah, right, McDonald's would NEVER try something like this. Errr, from what planet are you? Probably planet America, also known as Hamburgia. Freaking boycott McDonald's already.

isn't the idea of "subliminal" advertising that the viewer is not consciously aware of what they've seen? the frame, in spite of its short duration, hardly blends into the show. it's very obvious, and clearly some kind of blip error.

This is an odvious consious mistake on mcdonalds part. We can clearly see the flash so it must not be subliminal advertising...

Great blog. I really liked it. I have also created a lens in same niche. This is my first time, hope u guys like it. Here’s a brief intro: Since the 1970s, the U.S Government had banned the use of subliminal messages on TV and radio due to the worry of manipulation of the human race. It has been proven in a particular case study that subliminal messages had increased sales of popcorn by almost 60% when used in the cinema. This however has not stopped further research into subliminal messaging and subliminal cds. It is a well known fact that the human brain is an extremely powerful tool, able to multi-task many activities and to perform tasks with the ease and skill of a machine if it has been properly trained. http://www.squidoo.com/subliminal-cds/

Its so obvious what McDonald's is trying do here? Some of you people believe everything that the media or the government tells you! If yall didnt know, Subliminal messages are >>NOT<< banned in the USA or the UK...so for your smart asses who try to say otherwise, do your research first!

Look, y'all...I really don't think McDonald's would ever do something that wasn't honest and caring towards the community. They donate to charity and offer delicious food at prices that can't be beat! So let's not take away from their reputable business.

Honest and caring? Have you ever seen SuperSize Me? Basically, Mcy D's might as well put pig crap in their burgers. one time my family ate at McDonald's, 15 minutes later, we ALL threw up. EVERY ONE OF US. It is a disgusting place and only little kids would go there if it wasn't for subliminal messaging!

I can't see why some of you guys defend that place. McDonald's is the worst place to eat on the planet. Just because the food is good and cheap does not mean that you should eat it. They need to slap a warning lable on the food saying "WARNING THIS FOOD MAY KILL YOU SLOWLY"
