More Wieden filmlets on YouTube
Wieden + Kennedy is continuing with its habit of posting every event in the agency’s work-a-day life on YouTube with the posting of a 3-second video to tout WK12’s current art show, “Hurry Up” in the lobby of W+K headquarters. We’d embed it above, except that it would probably take longer to load then to view, and although wasting your time is part of AdFreak's mission statement, we want the time we waste to contain some quality. Thus, we’ve opted to feature another Wieden video above—of John Jay opening his Christmas gift. Looks to have been part of some kind of secret Santa event at the agency for the holidays just gone by. Anyway, as every mention of WK12 on AdFreak must contain a reference to dead raccoons, the one thing we could note about the “Hurry Up” video is that the words “hurry up” are made out of bones. Guess they’ve moved on from raccoon carcasses to other parts of dead beings. —Posted by Catharine P. Taylor |

Sigh. It’s not art if it’s not original.

Any day now I'm expecting AdFreak to come out with a magazine that's sole purpose is to watch, photograph, videotape, and document the movements of everything Wieden.
Wieden stars are just like us! They blow their gold pencil winning noses! They spill their Starbucks coffee! They make bad ads! (oh wait, scratch that last one)
Not everyone cares about the innerworkings of the agency. I only care enough to comment with the (probably slim) hope that the Portland royalty someday doesn't garner so much of our time and attention.

Go back to making ads and stop trying to be freakin "artists". Get over yourselves Wieden.

Yeah. How dare you try and make any art out of advertising? You pretentious jerks. You think you're sooo great. Art? Please. Leave that to the ARTISTS and go on doing ADVERTISING. They can NEVER MIX. NEVER. If you try to mix them, everyone will HATE YOU and they won't invite you to their advertising parties anymore.
