A naked Burt Reynolds makes DirecTV pitch

Burt Readers of the new Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue will be saddened to encounter one model who is significantly hairier than the others: Burt Reynolds, as seen in this new ad for high-definition DirecTV. The copy on the ad reads, “Everything should be seen in DirecTV HD. Well, maybe not everything.” The photo comes from the April 1972 centerfold in Cosmopolitan magazine. The idea to subject modern audiences to it comes from Deutsch/LA. Click the image for an even hairier version.

No complaints here, either. They took away his smokes, though, which makes his mouth look a little strange.

My grandmother had a pocket mirror in her purse with this pic on it when she died in 1980. I still have it. She was a secret admirer of Burt's.

It's funny what's considered sexy during any period of time. As one hairy chested sexy dude myself I speak for Burt, Magnum and any other hairy man when I say I'll be happy when this period of waxed girly-men is over!

In the April 1972 edition on Cosmopolitan Magazine .......Burt Reynolds shed his clothes to give his fans a better look at his impressive body.

"Bert Reynolds" nude photo received volumes of media attention at the time of it's release in Cosmo.

His nude picture was an illustration of his hyper-masculine, strong, muscular, hairy, sexually charged persona.

He was considered ruggedly handsome, physically and sexually provocative to more men and women than his former lovers.....Dinah Shore, Sally Fields, and Lonney Anderson.

He held a lots of his fans spellbound with his masculine charm.

Michaelangelo ....would have called him a fine piece of manhood.
