Get your goat with French anti-smoking ads

Goat_1 Judging by the copy (“Smoking is harmful to your breath”), this is an anti-smoking campaign, not a pro-bestiality campaign. We saw the same idea in Washington state’s Ashtray Mouth work: Tell smokers it’s disgusting to kiss them, and they’ll quit. This time the message comes from the National Committee Against Tobacco in France. A second ad, showing a man kissing a dog (a good-looking dog, but still), is after the jump. Via Houtlust.

Well sure, it didn't set out to be a pro-bestiality ad...

Considering the amount of taxes paid on a pack of cigs in the U.S.; I wonder where the government will get their money when everyone stops smoking?

I shouldn't be getting aroused by this, should I?

Shocking, yes. But also condescending, and definitely not very effective.

Any smoker knows that when kissing another smoker, the two cigarette mouths actually cancel each other out, thus producing no bad flavor when kissing.

Also, most smokers carry packs of gum, just to not offend non-smokers.

To get better insights, the non-smoking creatives should probably try actually speaking to smokers as human beings. Smokers may be reckless and nihilistic, but they aren't stupid.

Einstein, I've kissed non-smokers that didn't taste all that nice. So let's not delude ourseelves here.

I take offense to these ads - my dogs kiss me... and their breath is way better than a smoker's.

I agree with the last post...my dog's kisses are no where near as stinky as some smokers' breath I've smelled. Now I don't know any goats so I cannot speak on that topic.....

That anti-smoking ad is an insult to animals. Smokers breath is much worse!
