Mac guy has always been kind of a tool

Oldmacad Mac-user-as-ass isn’t a new concept. Here’s a scan (not an Apple ad, presumably) from MacAddict magazine back in 1996. (Click the image to enlarge.) “Seinfeld cut.” Earring. Backpack. “Mandatory wacky watch.” This guy looks like the life of the party. In related news, it seems that people are complaining about the Mac guy in Apple’s U.K. ads as well. Via Gizmodo.

Both of those losers are just embarrasing to look at. Were the 90s that ugly?

Mac guy wears stupid jeans, way too high - with a belt. Dorkmaster 2000.

And anyone who still wears a watch has too much time on their hands.

Death to watches. FOREVER!

That's out of the inaugural MacAddict #1. Just thought I'd add that piece of geekery.

Whoa! I did not realize that 'spamming' had entered the vernacular by '96. Was it really that long ago? I am getting old...
