Save the crabs, so you can eat them later

Save-the-animals ads might do better if the upside to humans were a bit more clear. For example, here’s a compelling message: Save the crabs, so you can continue to enjoy their cooked flesh dipped in butter. That’s The Chesapeake Club’s call to action as it asks people in the D.C. area to stop using so much lawn fertilizer, which is draining off and suffocating blue crabs in Chesapeake Bay. See some print ads after the jump. The work is by the agency Marketing for Change. Via Houtlust, which has posted one other TV spot.

These ads are awesome! I'm not a big seafood eater (odd considering I live in Chesapeake, VA), but these commercials make me want to go get some yummy crab dip. PETA must squeal everytime these hit the TV. GOOD!!
