AAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA, and I remember thinking when I saw the add, that the model its not such a good choice! Who cares, he is a tricky genius!
Posted by: | Feb 27, 2007 2:00:35 PM
Damn. I'd try this myself, but the only print ad I'd look believable on would be the "before" in a diet ad.
Posted by: Bob | Feb 27, 2007 2:07:16 PM
Slick trick, yes--but look how much coverage Gucci is getting out of it. Remember, there's no such thing as bad press.

Why wouldn't Gucci just do this. It's a great way to save $50,000.

Posted by: bah | Feb 27, 2007 8:58:11 PM
This is just brilliant from this guy, but who says this is the real story? Maybe the story itself is bogus? I can just be a clever plot. Interesting though if this post never came up, you would never have thought of this angle.
Anyway. Also check this pretty slick dude: www.thousandlotsofsand.com
Posted by: Dimitrios | Feb 27, 2007 10:26:14 PM
Sounds like he committed fraud. Definitely mail fraud if it had happened in the US.
Is that David Blaine?

Posted by: Niggerslayer | Feb 28, 2007 7:57:15 AM
As soon as I saw the image (before I read the story) I knew this must be bogus. This dude has never modeled for anything other than a free gay weekly. Gucci would never use this dime a dozen wannabe. He'll resurface and make the cover of "OUT" and that will be his 15 minutes.
Posted by: jared | Feb 28, 2007 8:06:22 AM
It’s curious how much sometimes one is willing to pay for his 15 minutes of fame. I mean, accusations in fraud with the impact of 50k (no matter for magazine or for Gucci)…Plus some damage done to Gucci assets by devaluating company’s brand (which is how much exactly now? According to some 2002-2003 Newsweek estimates, the Gucci brand value is 5363 millions US dollars)… I say, the guy must have balls.

I tried viral marketing.
Took my dick out of its hidey hole and shook it at passers-by while shouting out "Support GW Bush."
I was arrested, tried and convicted to 90 days in the calaboose.
Not for indecent exposure.
No!!!!!!!!
Busted for public stupidity for supporting Bush.
I deserved my fate.

Kinda' makes me wonder.
Maybe he doesn't get excited over the mangled bodies of soldiers any more.
