Afflictions of puberty animate MTV promos

Mtv This is definitely the first ad I’ve seen in which a ball of pubic hair chats with a pair of boobs. It’s part of Clay Weiner’s “Maturity is overrated” promo campaign for MTV, in which puberty comes to life as various animated characters. Other ads in the series include “Seven Minutes of Heaven,” “Science Class,” “Lunchroom,” “CPR” and “Detention.” The official character names are Boner, Booty, Pubes, Whiz, Lil’ Nips, Zit, Belch, Doo-Doo, Puke, Fart and Booger. You can read more about each of them here. Sounds like Grossinator should have been given some voiceover work on this one.

Haha. I think they are pretty funny. I love how they were able to nail down all those traumatic moments during puberty and create a character around it. We all knew the girl who had the too-large-for-her-age breasts and how she was so self-conscious about them. I can't wait to see more.

The Boner one is great. I know people are extra bitter on Adcritic, but how these are getting panned is beyond me.
