Another reason not to eat mounds of KFC

We’d heard about this ad but hadn’t seen it until now. It’s the 2005 Bartle Bogle Hegarty spot for KFC in the U.K., in which the workers at a call center sing with their mouths full of chicken. Needless to say, this was not seen as proper behavior among the British, who registered a record number of complaints. Thanks to Ana at Spare Room for the link.

When this came out it so made me laugh. To complain about this was all about bad manners it teaches kids! If you've seen the rubbish floating in the air around any fast food joint you'd think the kids didn't have any manners anyway.

The Daily Mail newspaper has a lot to answer for in the UK sometimes.

I agree - I saw this ad on TV (we live in the UK) and I thought it was terrible!

Sorry, I have to clarify something. The ad made me laugh in that it drew complaints about manners - really, the complaints should have been about the lameness of this ad.

i take offense to the "servin' up soul" tagline. how contirved is that?

sorry, my mouth was full of kfc...

Mr Ryan Carson,
why don't you go out and find some work instead of whining about advertising? Claiming that 'We live in the UK' is not an excuse. And who is 'we' anyway? You and your politically correct self-righteous self?
Just wondering.

Why is this KFC ad referencing this competitors Soul Food campaign?
