Burger King movie is happening after all

King_5 Somehow we missed this in Monday’s Wall Street Journal piece about ABC’s caveman fever. Tucked away in the soft bits of the story is Burger King’s Russ Klein, who says we can expect a Burger King feature film shortly. The film already has a studio and a distributor, Klein says. And while he “won’t reveal the studio’s identity or the likely plot ... he says the movie could appear as early as the end of this year, with the film aimed at ‘creating a back story for the King.’ ” Presumably Crispin is involved. Now we’ll have to check on the status of G&M Plumbing’s movie, which seemed equally unlikely to happen at first. Via Consumerist.

That character really freaks me out. I can't imagine actually paying money to look at that thing for 1 1/2 - 2 hours...

What are they thinking?!?

Will it be a horror movie?

If not a horror movie, then a horrible movie.

BK and Crispin made crappy videogames already. Everyone laughed. And yet they were a success. Although, they only cost like $5 a pop compared to the average $60 for a normal game.

Does that mean my movie ticket to see a crappy Burger King Movie will cost me 25 cents to see? Or is this movie really competing against Big Budget Hollywood movies and would cost me $10 to go see in a theatre?

This seems pretty risky.

Since there is no big name studio attached, i am guessing this will be a direct-to-DVD feature included in some sort of value meal.

Should be good for a laugh while chowing down on a Whopper fires and vanilla shake.
