In Portland, Ore., one such business has livened up its image with the zippy tagline and company name shown here. (Kudos to Willamette Week’s classifieds department for accepting the ad, too.) In my collection I have a newspaper advertisement for Doxidan, a "colon stimulant", published in the 60's that used the headline "For a B.M. in the A.M." that created quite a stir at the time. Now we have Metamucil advertising their product benefit as "beauty on the inside". All it proves is that there has always been a lot of shitty advertising.
