Now we know what the Truth tastes like

Americone_dream_pint Politics got you down? Run out and grab a pint of Stephen Colbert’s Americone Dream, a delightful blend of vanilla, caramel and chocolate-covered Waffle Bits. (Surprisingly, there are no “Colberries,” to use the French pronunciation.) While I’m assuming it’s true that proceeds are going to charity, I’m a little concerned that teaming up with noted lefties Ben & Jerry will alienate those in Colbert Nation who have made Stephen a sensation. After all, these guys are noted for propping up trippy musicians like Phish and the Grateful Dead. And they once teamed up with Doonesbury on a sorbet—if that doesn’t scream West Coast liberal, I don’t know what does. And that’s the truth.

Colbert is the most liberal of all of 'em, actaully. So I don't think it will offend any of the Colbertians.

Note to self: Spell check is a wonderful thing.

This will cut loose from the Colbert Nation all the ones who didn't get it and thought the show was realy hosted by a crazy right wing pundit. Then again, if they didn't get that (Colbert at WH correspondents dinner) they won't get the pairing of Colbert with B&J.

Since when are two guys in Vermont and a cartoon that orginated at Yale "screamers" of "west coast" liberalism?

And what am I afraid of?

Methinks that the writer has missed the point of The Colbert Report. Satire is a real word.

Last I knew, Vermont AND yale were on the EAST coast. Altho I could be wrong, I did get educated in VT after all...

I just imagine the giggling as he was typing out. "West Coast Liberal." And oh boy, "And that's the truth."
