Urlacher fined for not drinking the Kool-Aid

Urlacher The NFL has fined Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher $100,000 for wearing a Glaceau Vitamin Water cap during media day at Super Bowl XLI because the brand isn’t a designated league sponsor. (Gatorade is the “official” energy drink of the NFL, for those who need to know.) I’ll give Urlacher $10 to don the cap again in public and to get AdFreak exclusive worldwide rights to the photo. And who knows, maybe there’s an enterprising marketer out there who’s willing to kick in an extra $20 to have Urlacher jolt the marketplace.

Not free.

I'm sure they offered to pick up the tab on the fine.

Beforehand, that is.

Just let the man wear his hat. It could be his lucky hat, you never know.

This has to be the most effective 100k Glaceau has ever spent...
