WBZ storms the Boston Marathon. At 11.

Apbostonmarathon A street-marketing push by CBS affiliate WBZ-TV for its wire-to-wire coverage of the Boston Marathon next Monday will include bar coasters, race-course signage, teams hired to cheer on the runners and a choir stationed at “Heartbreak Hill,” the steep rise located at the 20.5-mile marker in Newton, Mass. Maybe Suni Williams will tune in via satellite, lest she miss out on those professional cheers and the kind of boost one can only get from a choral rendition of “Eye of the Tiger.” Full disclosure: My home is on the marathon route, so I wouldn’t mind if WBZ dispatched a team to sweep up the soda cans, half-eaten hot dogs and discarded inspirational banners (“You can do it, Fred!”) that litter the courtyard long after the last runner has limped by.

As a Wellesley alum I love all things Boston Marathon, but a choir at heart break hill?
