Boise balks at brainless boobs billboard It’s not just Boston anymore! Add Boise, Idaho, to the list of communities that can get upset over titillating ad campaigns. Case in point: Boise moms are ticked off about this billboard for syndicated radio dudes Bob & Tom, who market themselves as “2 boobs in the morning.” (A high-brow show, no doubt, probably with pithy banter on world events and a Tom Lehrer theme song. Not.) You’d think citizens who have George Parker living in their midst as well as bakeries that compare their bagels to vaginas would shrug this off as mildly vulgar at best. But Boise’s populace his risen up and pressured the local station to remove the billboard. Take a guess which visual elements bothered them. Haha, I haven't been back to Boise in a few months but this doesn't surprise me at all. Southern Idaho is surprisingly conservative, possibly due to the high percentage of people with rather strict religious beliefs or the population's tendencies toward right-wing polital views. Either way, a sign like that is bound to offend somebody in the area. But then again, it's Bob and Tom; that was the whole point.

I just got back from two biz trips, so all this shit happened while I was away. As a resident of Boise, I am proud to realize we are becoming famous for big "Knockers" as well as big spuds. Boise itself is "kinda" liberal compared to the rest of the state, which is slightly to the right of Genghis Kahn when it comes to all things concerning sex and politics (Same thing really.) Funny how no one complained about the bagel shit. Maybe Mormons get more freaked out about boobs rather than vaginas! Yeah... We actually have more Mormons than Utah. We used to have a shitload of Nazis up North, but they finally got kicked out. Now the place is filling up with Californians. I knida miss the Nazis.
