Bruce Campbell’s lounge act for Old Spice

Campbell_3 Wieden + Kennedy has brought Bruce Campbell back for another Old Spice commercial. This time he’s entertaining some ladies (“including Siberian supermodel Irena Pantaeva,” according to the press release) in his bachelor pad. He woos them “with his musical prowess as he performs his own unique arrangement of an old standard”—a song that Burger King reportedly has been itching to use in its own advertising ever since it came out in ’83. Watch Bruce’s earlier Old Spice commercial here. UPDATE: And it gets even better with this behind-the-scenes footage from the shoot.

the axe effect sure is a big idea, isn't it? not only does it cross oceans but it straddles brands. bravo bbh.

The "Experience is everything" campaign is much better than that lame Axe, Lynx, [insert body spray here] stuff. At least the Old Spice ads leave room for something different other than the "women rape you" approach.

i agree. but the "women rape you" approach wasn't old 7 years ago.

Love it. I don't feel like a pubescent teenage boy when I wear this stuff.

Ugh. Trying so hard and nothing really happens. At least Axe is funny sometimes.
