Fox unamused by ‘O.J. Simpsons’ parody
Fox wants to cut the juice to The O.J. Simpsons, a decidedly un-P.C., decade-too-late parody on Broadcaster.com. Fox has demanded that the videos be removed, but they’re still available—for now. The clips open with an O.J.-ified Homer driving home in a white Ford Bronco (with the cops in pursuit). There’s one segment called “If I Did It,” which lampoons Fox’s own botched plan to air a TV special with the real O.J. discussing how he would have killed his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman if he had done it. In the cartoon, O.J.-Homer professes his innocence and wonders aloud, “Where’s the murder weapon? Where are all the bloody clothes? Tell me, where is this mountain of evidence?” O.J.-Bart simply opens a closet door, and the blood-soaked clothing and knife tumble out. O.J-Homer’s response, of course, is “D’oh!”
