Aussie brewer bashed for boobs campaign

Hahn There’s nothing too subtle about this ad for Australian beer Hahn Superdry. It shows a woman drawing a heart in the sand, which her male companion, looking at it upside down, alters with his heel to make it look like boobs. But it’s the online component that really has Australian authorities seething. It opens with a clip of a woman’s hands holding a pair of naked breasts—which turn out to belong to a dude. “Boobs. Great on women. Not so good on men,” says the copy. A rep at a health advisory board says: “Reducing it to a discussion of boobs seems to be quite a deliberate strategy and one that women would be entitled to feel was quite degrading.” Not to mention how guys with man-boobs must feel.

This should be offensive to men with male boobs. Why is it ok to make fun of men but not of women? That's the real sexism.

You know, I stop and watch every time that ad comes on. I'm not a Hahn's drinker (I prefer Coopers Pale), but it's a damn funny ad - not to mention the beautiful woman who draws the heart/boobs!

This ad has been our for a few months now. It seems that only people in the state of Victoria have a problem with it. Its not like it is the first time a beer company has used women or boobs or both to sell products.

Everyone needs to lighten up and enjoy the ad. As for Real Bobby's complaint about men with boobs - go to manboobs.co.uk. These guys seem perfectly happy :p
