The perfect ring for anyone’s ‘Li’l Frodo’
In a recent Fresh Air interview, Knocked Up director/writer Judd Apatow said the best comedies are R-rated because “life is R. If we followed you home, within 15 minutes, some of your behavior would put your life into an R rating.” Sure enough, I arrived at a dinner party the same night to find everyone talking about something called a “vibrating condom ring.” Surprisingly, the conversation was sparked by a mainstream TV spot by Durex for said ring. See for yourself here, and consider checking out their humorous mini-site, which lets you “propose the ring” to a “friend.” Meanwhile, in the U.K., they throw subtlety to the wind.
