Wayne Rooney (possibly) hits the target
Here’s an enjoyable new Nike soccer spot in which Wayne Rooney displays the kind of precision shooting that largely eluded him during last summer’s World Cup. Or maybe the display is a fake, and Rooney got some help from the ad agency and its fancy editing tricks. The “believe it or not” aspect of the commercial is part of a proud tradition in sports advertising. Earlier examples include superhuman feats performed by LeBron James (fake), Tiger Woods (real) and Ronaldinho (possibly real and literally unbelievable).

Lebron's fake 5 in a row is a bit rich. But it's not as though he hasn't had practice.
