You know, if you don't keep up with music in general, maybe you shouldn't write about it anymore...of course Pearl jam is still around, they just released a (fantastic politically charged) new album last year! The self titled album got into the spotlight for a minute for it's anti-Bush remarks.
And for the record, Lollapolooza technically never stopped either...
Step outside of your box a little.

Pearl Jam and most liberal artists don't know two shits about politics. They're so stupid, just like Ricky Martin turning against Bush. Seriously, if I'd were a liberal, I would expect the supporters of my causes to be serious people who know what they're talking about, not idiotic millionare celebrities.

Bobby,
You, my friend, are a tool, and based on your comment, it's easy to tell that you don't know the first thing about politics, government, net neutrality or anything.
Check it, bro, we invaded a country without UN authorization and now our own country is becoming evermore run by corporations. Beautiful accomplishments by your man, W.
To learn a bit about net neutrality and check out some kick ass tunes about how much Bush sucks, go here: http://www.unboundedition.com/content/view/1958/50/
Listen until you get wise, Bobs.

I think AT&T was trying to stay clear of the political issue, but instead amplified it. (That was unintentional pun.) Obviously, if you were watching Pearl Jam, you are more than likely a Pearl Jam fan. So you probably wanted to hear what they were saying. They did more to rile the bush-haters and bush-lovers (heh heh bush-lovers) than if they would of just let Eddie Vedder speak his two cents. Leave the bleeping to the naughty words.

Tell me Terrence, are you a citizen of the United Nations? Do you have a World Passport?
You're calling me a tool? Do you think America, the greatest nation of earth, needs permission from anyone to do anything?
Sure, it's like the Kyoto protocal, all those PC countries signed it, but they all pollute as much as they want while blaiming America for not signing that stupid treaty.
I know a lot about government, politics and net neutrality. I don't read leftwing blogs like dailykoss, I get my information from conservativenews.org, Fox News and many other honest websites without the whinny "I hate Bush" yabber in all the other networks.
And since isn't a case of the government regulating the internet, this has nothing to do with net neutrality. If not, ask the KKK, they often have problems finding an ISP to keep their website online for long.
"now our own country is becoming evermore run by corporations. Beautiful accomplishments by your man, W."
---My man didn't tell Weyco to fire smokers, nor did he tell other companies to deduct $5 from obese employees, nor did he declare war against obesity nor did he allowed the nanny state to grow. That has happened without his approval and with the approval of many liberals who claim to be for freedom as long as it's something they like.
And frankly, if you don't like corporations, you shouldn't even bother to work in advertising. I like corporations fine, unless they abuse their power and stop fucking with their employees.
"To learn a bit about net neutrality and check out some kick ass tunes about how much Bush sucks, go here:"
---Yeah well, I don't waste my time with unoriginal hate Bush websites.
Whatever, the reality is that you liberals need Bush to be your scapegoat for all your problems. Just wait until a democrat gets elected, let's see who do you get to blame then.

Democrats. Republicans. When did politics become a team sport where we all root for our side? I would like a bit more passion for the ideals of America than any particular douchebag or douchebaggette.

"When did politics become a team sport where we all root for our side?"
---That happened when liberals started calling themselves "progressives" to imply that anyone who doesn't follow their ideology is against progress. Which is really idiotic, conservatives believe in progress, everyone believes in progress, but you don't hear us calling ourselves progressives because real progress comes from understanding the past so you're not changing things that work every five fucking minutes.
Politics is a team sport. All the so-called "American ideals" are defined by different political groups. There is no common ground, and forget about "united we stand," that's the biggest load of crap I've heard in my life. I'm united with those who agree with me, no one else.

"Fox News and many other honest websites"
I think I spit milk out of my nose laughing at that one.
